Increase Revenue: Offer Photography Classes for Mom's to your
customerFor years I have been teaching a beginner's photography
class to moms in the Houston area. I have loved this additional way to
get to know my clients, to meet new clients, and help other moms learn
how to use their cameras. It has also been a great way to increase
revenue, especially in the traditionally slower times of year for
portrait photography.
An increasing number of moms now have DSLRs but don't know how to use them.
This year I have had a lot of other
photographers ask me about my training program. So I decided to create
this Photographer's Kick Start: Training program to share my training
materials and process with other photographers looking to start their
own training programs in their markets. I have spent over two years fine tuning
this program based on feedback from my students.

Common
QuestionsCan you make money from teaching mom's
photography? Absolutely. Teaching this class requires very little
time outside of the actual class time which means you can price it to
make a great hourly rate.
If I teach moms how to take
pictures, won't they stop coming to me? I have found that there are
two kinds of moms...the do-it-yourself moms, and the do-it-for-me
moms. For the do-it-yourself moms, they may try to take their own
pictures, but they are probably going to do that anyway so why not give
them some guidance? The do-it-for-me moms are the ones that will
appreciate your experience and artistry and be willing to pay top dollar
for it. I have found that many moms that get into photography, are
actually MORE willing to pay for a professional photographer's services
because they have a better understanding of what goes into creating
professional portraits and can start to see the difference between the
mom with a camera and the true professional.
Aren't you afraid
you are training your competition? This class has been designed to
help mom's learn how to turn snapshots to candid. It is designed to
help moms use more of the features of their cameras to do a better job
of taking pictures throughout their everyday activities. It is not a
replacement for portrait sessions with a professional photographer.
Over the next two weeks we'll be announcing our sponsors for this module who will be offering money saving opportunities for photographers who purchase this material.
