More Reviews from Fans!

Sorry I've been so bad about  posting these.  I'm blaming the holiday crazies!   But I've had a lot of great feedback from folks that purchased the Training materials.  I love getting feedback - especially after you've had a few classes!  I taught three classes last week and I'm starting to get more inquiries as folks get cameras for Christmas.  I know last January I was booked with several classes (both private and group) every week.  It was a great way to keep revenue up even when folks weren't scheduling sessions because they were in holiday recovery.  And you have plenty of time to buy the materials and then be ready to go for post-holiday blitz.

I have been reading all through this and it is really awesome. I can't wait to teach my first class.

Thanks again!!

Nicole

I am excited to teach my first class using the Photographer's Kick Start materials.  I am an art teacher  by training (I have a BA in art education) so teaching is something that comes naturally to me.  I loved  the idea of teaching photography to other mom's, but taking the time to put together all the materials  needed to teach a course was not where I wanted to spend my time (I really want to spend my time focusing on building up my studio's business).  When I found out about the Photographer's Kick Start I was super jazzed because Jessica did all the hard work for me.  All the work I didn't want to do, so now I can just get to what I really want to do.  That's sharing the gift of photography with other moms.  Thanks Jessica for making such a great product that is completely customizable.  You Rock!

Take Care,

Amanda D

I'd like to be included in the directory. I have my first one-on-one class in a couple weeks, and I'm excited to use some of the Training materials for the class.

 Hi Jessica,

The class went so well! I am an elementary school teacher so I am comfortable speaking in front of groups of people but I was a little nervous just before class. About 15 minutes in, I got into a rhythm and it ran smoothly. I think the best part was when the light bulb went on for some people and they got excited about what they were learning. The one girl who I thought was a little bored (she was one of the ones who found me through your website) e-mailed me before I even got home to tell me how much she learned and thanked me for helping her understand why her photos were not exposed properly. I am going to add  student's photos to the gallery on my website and she was the first one to send me photos she took the day after the class practicing what she learned.

Another thing I added to the class was examples taken from the text book. I used the ss and aperture photos so students were looking at the text (great book! - I bought out amazon.ca). I guess that is the teacher in me coming out. For the keynote presentation, I downloaded the remote app and it worked great and I had the speaker notes on my iphone too, so I didn't have to have the printed papers.

Loving this so far Jessica! Nervous to teach my first class, but really excited too.

Thank you so much for this fabulous program!  I can't wait to put these materials to use.  You have saved me so much time with this wonderful Power Point presentation and additional class materials!

Thanks for offering such a great product!  I'm still working on getting in touch with some local moms groups to set something up and try it out.

I just wanted to let you know I announced my workshops on Thursday morning and was sold out by the afternoon. I can't wait to try out your material, hopefully I'm as successful as you!

About Us

  • Jessica Grieves
I started my portrait photography business, Bubblegum Tree Photography, in August 2006 in Houston TX. My background is in web development, project management, and technical training so those aspects of my photography business are especially interesting to me. I started teaching photography classes to moms in 2008 after being asked time and again by my customers how to use their cameras. I've kept an online journal about my experiences building my photography business at Hey Girl, Nice Shot. I'm the photography writer for Houston Mama, and I've written numerous guest posts and spoken at photographer's workshops to share some of the things I've learned.
